Industrial Refrigeration Technical College (IRTC), a high-tech, industrial ammonia training facility, has opened in Lyndhurst, Virginia, just east of Waynesboro, There are very few such training facilities in the United States, and the $2 million anhydrous ammonia operator training facility is set to be one of the top ammonia refrigeration education facilities in the nation. “We are very excited to offer this exceptional opportunity to train ammonia operators,” said Chris Shackelford, Technical Support Service Manager, IRTC. “These classes are taught by instructors with over 40 years of combined experience and will help facilities run as efficiently and safely as possible.” Industrial Refrigeration Technical College offers ammonia operator training and instruction in a classroom environment and hands-on training in their state-of-the-art, comprehensive ammonia refrigeration lab.
